What can I wear? Clothing should be neat, clean and modest in fit and appearance. Please no short shorts, tank tops, or spaghetti straps. Capris are fine and any other modest style long shorts. How many roomates can I have? There are 2 queen beds in each hotel room. There will be 4 girls per room. Supervision? What about supervision in the evenings, is this going to be setup like EFY where there are counselors responsible for a smaller group of kids? We will be having counselors for the girls. There will be 8 to 10 girls to each counselor. These girls will be college age, and be exemplary in every way; many being return missionaries. We are planning on having activities all day and all night till 10:30 or 11:00. We will stay very busy. As far as safety goes, we picked the Hilton because it is all indoors and they do have 24 hour security. Is this a first for this event or has it been done before? It has not been done in our area before. We have both worked with the 11-12 year old girls for the past few years and I have girls that are 13 and 14. We know these girls are ready and eager to learn and grow but since EFY starts at 14 we saw a need for something that started a little younger and was for girls only, (boys can be a distraction). We will be teaching them, things geared just for girls 11-16. How many girls do you expect at this event? Having 300 girls at this event means there will be no other events happening at the Hotel. We will have every meeting room, ballroom, and breakout rooms just for us. Are there any discounts offered? Because we are staying at a hotel and having plated meals we are offering this conference as inexpensively as possible. We are lower than EFY and other camps. We can offer a 10.00 discount if you pay by cash or check because it will save on the paypal fee. What do the girls need to bring? An information packet will be mailed to you 6 weeks before the conference that will include the packing list. |
